About this place Spencer's Restaurant

Spencer's Restaurant, at 701 W. Baristo Road, is a Palm Springs staple: American food and a solid wine list, served in an elegant room that’s still relaxed enough for a weeknight.

The place feels like a special occasion, even if you’re just dropping in for a casual dinner. That's a trick a lot of restaurants try, and fail at, but Spencer's pulls it off. The decor is stylish without being stuffy, a good backdrop for the kitchen's American classics.

You’ll find an extensive wine list here. It's clearly been put together with care, with plenty of options to go with whatever you order.

Beyond the main dining room, Spencer's also does catering. If you’re planning something in Palm Springs, they’re a versatile option. Plus, it's an LGBTQ+-friendly spot, which is always good to know. Check spencersrestaurant.com for hours and reservations.

Service was good, but the food was mediocre for its price and flies were everywhere. Uncomfortable and not worth the money spent. Won’t be coming again.

The restaurant is beautiful. Service was perfect. Food was excellent. But...there is no AC inside! There is an interior dining room, but the doors are open and there is no AC. So if it's 102 outside and your in a sports jacket dressed for dinner, you will be uncomfortable.

It’s hard to go wrong here. This upscale American restaurant is quintessential Palm Springs if you’re looking for something a little more classy for an evening out. Excellent menu; strong cocktails (have a martini) and delicious food, with attentive staff and a dreamy outdoor dining area (sit by or under the tree if you can). We’d certainly recommend to anyone looking for a sure thing.

Came for a before dinner cocktail, but very small bar... 4 seats 😞

Really well integrated indoor-outdoor space. I dined during the day and it was beautiful and great to be in nature. I imagine it’s beautiful in the evening with candles. Food was good. Service was attentive. Pictures are of the Apple salad (large!), the rib eye, and the carrot cake. The carrot cake was better than good. Would come back and try brunch.
