I met several family members for brunch there on a weekend. Our server - Becca - was OUTSTANDING. 1) The food - we did not do the unlimited brunch bar but ordered a-la-carte instead. From the Chicken and Waffles to the brick oven pizzas - our food was delicious! I also would reccomend the strawberry lemonade should they have it when you go. Our food came out on time and was hot . . . and everyone from Teenager to a couple of 60+ year olds had a great meal and drink experience. 2 - Admosphere. We sat outside (it was hot as blankity-blank) and there was actually shade and the occasional gust of wind. We were a party of 8 and (as one of us made reservations) we were able to be seated right on time. It was about 1:30. Inside they had music playing complete with a live DJ. Bathrooms were clean - something most folks overlook - and the bonus of sitting outsid was the people watching. Small shout-out to the starling that would fly by and check out folks occasionally. 3 - Service. Becca (our server) was AWESOME. She wasn't just great with letting us know what was on the menu, she checked in at appropriate times (speaking as a former server that's not always the easiest thing to do) and made sure plates were cleared and drinks filled. She even was able to take a (very good) picture of the family using my phone. I will definately tell people about my experince. I would 10/10 come back here with guests, family or friends. Parking is actually fairly easy to find as there are garages in the area. If you're looking for a brunch spot in downtown Silver Spring, Give Matchbox a very, very strong look. We chose it and we're very glad we did.
Nes was great!! She really made our day, and closed my birthday weekend out in a great way.
Nes was 10/10 perfect. Food and drinks were amazing
My server Nes was the best server and Friend that I obtained And she don’t even know it. The energy and the service was more than what I expected on a Saturday morning. Nes informed me about all the details of what was available on that buffet was out of this world. I’m glad I made a stop up there. Matchbox, ya’ll check it out!!
NES; Our server was very down to earth, great communicator, cool vibe, and very professional. She deserves a raise and a promotion.
