The Venture Inn

Not the Place it used to be... In past 25 years of deer season Venture Inn was always a good place to eat dinner. Not for me anymore. Ordered a steak sandwich and there was more bun than steak and not very tasteful. Just 2 minute steaks with some melted American cheese drizzled on top. In the past, food portions were always generous and definitely more tasteful. I immediately noticed the new owners removed seating behind the bar for a pool table. Maybe that generates more income?

Great roadside bar. We had drinks and the pretzel appetizer with beer cheese. Highly recommend! Staff was super.

Nice place to stop and grap a drink or some food. The menu had a nice selection. There was bar food, appetizers, and dinners on the menu. We got wings. They were chicken wings. Would definitely go back and try one of the dinner options. I recommend the cheesesteak egg rolls for a starter.

If you are looking for the worst meal of your life, then dine at The Venture Inn. They had one waitress taking care of both the bar and entire dining room. I felt bad for her as she working her butt off. Dinners took 40 minutes even though the place was less than half full. The burgers were past well done and served with cold French fries. My scallop and shrimp dish consisted of 3 quarter-sized scallops and 3 small shrimp. I looked up at the waitress like this was a joke.
