Our daughter wanted to go here for her Birthday. The place is hard to get into probably due to how small it is. I have to say, the food from top to bottom was absolutely outstanding and a cool downtown Phoenix vibe. We ordered like 9 items off the menu and everything was top notch and you can tell the chef is very experienced in French cuisine. My only complaint, which is really not that important was the chairs and tables were uncomfortable and too small. If you are 5'5 and under, you will be fine. The food will have us return for sure though. Forgot to take pics.

Took my wife here for her birthday. She loved it. We had oysters to start, they were sweet and fresh; and the pricing was pretty standard for a dozen these days.... So we had two. We split a Boquerones with trout roe and guanciale with melon. I'd never had guanciale shaved thin so it dissolves on your tongue. It's was bomb. We both were sad that the quality of the loaf of bread that came with the boquerones was so good that we want it everyday, which is not feasible. The bread literally puts so many restaurants to shame. It's so good so so good. And when you pile anchovies and trout roe on it...dude...again bomb. We split a tuna crudo, and had a gin cocktail. If I had infinite money I would have kept ordering more food. But we left very happy and will definitely return. Service was perfect. Music was aggressive jazz which I hated when I first walked in but it grew on me. I guess that's kind of the point. Definitely an awesome place to take a date, if you like good food and have respect for quality cooking.

Sottise absolutely exceeded every expectation for my 30th birthday dinner. From the very beginning, Matt went above and beyond to make the entire planning process seamless and special. He was incredibly accommodating to every request, so attentive to detail, and always took the time to answer my questions and make sure everything was perfect leading up to the dinner. And the dinner itself… truly one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had. Every dish was INSANELY amazing, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere made the night feel so special and elevated. You can tell so much care goes into every detail here. My guests and I were blown away from start to finish. If you’re looking for a restaurant for a celebration or just an unforgettable dining experience, Sottise is it. I genuinely cannot recommend it enough.

Baked Brie and Beef dish I had were delicious. Wasn’t fond of the Le Cowboy drink that had but that’s ok. Just wasn’t for me. What I didn’t appreciate was the server I had tonight. She made me feel so uncomfortable. I get that I (by myself) got there at 9pm, an hour before they closed but don’t be so rude about. Yes I was told that they’d be able to sit me if I was to order within 15min. I order within 5min. I wasnt given the proper welcome/introduction. No “welcome to Scottish” nor was there a “hi my name is..” just a “did you figure out what you want?” Type question. Those I can get over. 09:40pm comes I get my check without even asking for it. Again, understandable, I was thinking about getting dessert but they’re in a rush to close, so I get. The fact that the same server ASKED the group behind me if they wanted dessert like 5min after. I was offended. So I confronted her about. She said she didn’t mean to offend me and she only asked them because they made dinner reservations, not that that makes you less important than them. Customers usually stop me from handing their check if they want dessert. It may seemed I’m entitled but I’m not. I’ve worked in the service industry, at the start, you usually welcome in the customer, ask if they any questions about the menu, ask if they need anything once they get there meal, ask if there’s anything else they would want and then thank them for coming. I can understand if this was an Applebee’s or a Chili’s or whatever, but if I’m paying $100+ per meal, I expect at least some decent service not something that’s rush and rude. The service I got tonight was so disappointing, I was actually sad about. This isn’t the only restaurant I’ve received bad service from in Arizona. It’s a bit tragic honestly. I feel bad for even writing this because I don’t want to feel entitled. I usually eat solo and I always tip 20%, but to be treated such a way is ridiculous. Maybe I’m overreacting and may be the girl was tired because it was the end of the night but still. Idk man But anyways, it’s a cute date restaurant. Food is good, place is nice.

It was my first time fine dining and it was amazing! We came to this restaurant to celebrate the end of my semester at my university and we were blown away by the food, customer service, and atmosphere! Remi made great suggestions. I’m not an expert in fine dining but everything he suggested complimented the next dish we ordered. All the dishes were cohesive and the flavors never clashed one another. That’s an experience that I’ve never had and I left the restaurant feeling very impressed. Glad that we picked the right place for my first fine dining experience! I look forward to coming again! Very rude waitstaff give the impression they don’t want you eating here. Seafood tasted foul and staff insisted it was acceptable. Do not recommend eating here unless you’re willing to risk food poisoning.
