About this place Faces Nightclub

Faces Nightclub at 2000 K Street has been one of the defining institutions of Sacramento's gay scene for decades — a multi-floor venue that expanded over the years to accommodate different crowds and different music formats simultaneously. The multi-level format means that different rooms can run different genres on the same night: dance floor pop in one area, a more relaxed bar environment in another, an outdoor patio space for conversation and cigarettes. This format makes Faces unusually inclusive across the age and preference spectrum of Sacramento's LGBTQ+ community. The venue has hosted themed nights — drag performances, bear events, leather gatherings — throughout its long history, making it a space that different subcultures within the community can claim at different times. Long-term Sacramento residents remember specific nights and eras at Faces with the specificity of community memory that only applies to a genuinely important venue. For visitors, the multi-floor format means there is something to find at Faces regardless of what you are looking for in a night out.

Went to faces on 6/6/2026, the security guards plus the people trying to work the door were rude as hell. I had a bank problem and was insisting they'd let me try again but apparently I was "rude as hell" wouldn't let me in and tried to call the bar across the street to refuse me service but thankfully they have a brain and appropriate customer service so they let me in and treated me to a good time. This bar has the nastiest security guards plus whoever works the front door (pics to prove who) as someone who ALSO works downtown at a bar, I have the right to refuse you service as well. I hope the security girl at the gate enjoyed her moment of fame, because our group of 20 won't come here because of her. If you want your business to make money, hire people that make a difference. 6/6/26 whoever worked the gates guy/girl were too cocky for their own good. The includes the security guards, the ones at front. You let your employees get away with too much.

Today is a day I wish didn't have to come but its time. I have been going to faces for 10 years and there is something that NEEDS to be addressed. I keep getting bullied by a person there who is belittling and name calling and spreading rumors about me and the staff, including the managers who I have brought this up to personally, have told me they cant do anything unless something is done physically. So I warned them that I have PTSD and being bullied to that extent might set me off and cause me to persue a physical altercation, they proceeded to tell me I would be banned to which I replied that I didn't care so long as the bully did too. They literally giggled at this. I am always well behaved so they probably took it as a joke. I can no longer come here if verbal abuse of long time regulars, or anyone for that matter, is considered acceptable in there eyes. So sorry to all my fantastic go-go dancers, incredible bar tenders and amazing security that always made me feel like a part of the family, I will miss you all dearly.

First time there. Wasn't bad at all. Three dance floors all with different genres of music.

Security is rude and they stop letting people in way before they say they close. Not worth it at all
