The Depot is the low-key bar of the K Street trio, at 2001 K Street in Lavender Heights, under the same owner as Badlands next door. It's a neighbourhood gay bar with music videos, a pool table, a patio, karaoke and trivia nights, and drinks are cheaper than at the dance clubs. The crowd is mostly local men across a wide age range.
Google lists it open from 4pm on weekdays, 1pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday, until 1:30am. It's quiet early and fills up later on weekends as people move between The Depot, Badlands and Faces.

tried to give my friend water after he was feeling nauseous grabbed it out of my hand with no context very rude ruined the experience
The bartenders are very experienced and I genuinely had the best spicy bloody mary of my life last night. Whichever bartender made that is phenomenal and they had the best customer service. I genuinely will come back just because of that experience yesterday
Is it really a gay bar if it's full of straight people? Just a straight bar with a rainbow flag outside. It's about as authentically "gay" as a tiki bar is authentically Polynesian. I shouldn't see several gangs of 5-10 frat guys rolling up, picking up chicks. That's when you know you no longer have a gay bar, it's just a bar that is themed "gay"
