San Diego Pride 2026
About This Event
San Diego Pride pulls in more than 250,000 people. It's one of the biggest LGBTQ+ events in the US, taking over Hillcrest's streets and Balboa Park every July.
The Saturday parade starts in Hillcrest. It's an old one, going since 1974. Then comes the two-day festival in Balboa Park. Expect several stages, hundreds of exhibitors (both community groups and corporations), and plenty of food. It's big.
July in San Diego means good weather: warm, sunny, not the furnace heat you get inland.
San Diego Pride, the non-profit at The Center San Diego, runs the whole thing. They also put on the Spirit of Stonewall Rally and other LGBTQ+ events all year.
With 250,000-plus participants, this Pride belongs in the same league as Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. Hotels in Hillcrest and downtown San Diego disappear months before Pride weekend. Book your room and flights early.
