Hyatt Regency San Francisco

The room was clean, friendly staff, room balcony window was in severe disrepair and made a loud screeching sound when opened. Bay-side rooms get a lot of noise from paddle and buskers / events. What was shockingly bad was the free wifi. Low bandwidth, inconsistent latency, poor enough that even low demand apps like Google maps or Instagram fail to render properly. This seems intentional as they offer a paid wifi service which presumably offers a better experience, but even budget motels offer better throughout for free. If you you're planning any kind of remote work while staying here I'd price in the premium Internet plan to your budget because the free option is essentially useless and you'll find yourself using mobile hotspot instead.

Traveling with a family of four with two teenage girls. We were all very impressed with this hotel. The staff go above an beyond to make sure you're welcomed and taken care of. The rooms are gigantic for an urban hotel in the heart of the action! I've been to San Francisco several times over the last 30 years and this trip at the end of May '26 was absolutely the safest I've felt in the city and it's the cleanest I've ever seen it. I've been told it's the new mayor, whatever it is, I'm glad to see the city shining like the jewel it is and this is a great hotel to use as homebase. Definitely worth upgrading to the club level if available the club lounge has a breathtaking view and a nice selection of snacks, teas, and coffees.

There is zero room service. If you want a hotel at that price point and expect it this isn’t it. Wish they listed it on their front page. It’s not the staff fault.
