Ted's feels like an institution in San Fran. Owner know everyone, and even if you only been one or twice. The sandwiches are spectacular, I've tried many of them and they are all great. They are also huge, so come hungry or share with a friend. Ted's also has a great selection of snacks and drinks.

Ordered a turkey sandwich. Skimpy portions, bread is huge, barely any meat or dressing or toppings and no lettuce even though picture shows lettuce. Leaves you feeling like a lot is missing. Wouldn't recommend.
