Best hostel in LA

It was my first time in Venice Beach, and the hostel has a great location, with bars nearby. The neighborhood felt a bit empty (even on a Friday night), and I felt a little unsafe walking around by myself after dark. I had to take an Uber to get to the nearest McDonald's. There are a few pizzerias nearby, but most of the popular restaurants are farther away. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are clean. But hey, you're in California, so the smell of weed is not surprising at all... Surprisingly, it was the only hostel during my trip where I was able to easily interact with other guests at breakfast. People were very open to hanging out and making new friends.

This place is my home away from it all! I wish I could live there and not go back to the nightmare home I rent a room from 🙏

Great stay overall. The location is perfect, right next to the beach 🏝️. Staff were friendly, and everything was clean, though the hostel is smaller compared to the ones on Hollywood Boulevard. I’d definitely stay again if I’m back for a beach trip. 😊
