SaMo Pride (Santa Monica Pride)
About This Event
SaMo Pride is Santa Monica's Pride Month, started in 2019 by the city government with local business groups. It is not one parade but a month of mostly free events through June.
The centrepiece is Pride on the Promenade, a street festival on the Third Street Promenade with drag and live music; in 2026 it added an evening block party. Around it run family events such as a free kids' storytelling morning on the Pier, and the month opens with a City Council proclamation.
In 2026 Pride on the Promenade was on 13 June. The calendar lives at smpride.com; the 2027 program hadn't been announced when we checked.
