STAYED HERE OVER CHRISTMAS VACATION. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THIS NASTY YOUNG BARTENDER AT THE UPSTAIRS BAR. SHE GOT EVERY ORDER WRONG, SHE FOUGHT WITH OTHER PATRONS, SHE YELLED AT ME WHEN I SAID HELLO. I HOPE THEY'VE MOVED ON FROM HER. OTHER THEN THAT STAY WAS GREAT.

Room was bright and clean. Bed was wonderfully comfortable. The rooftop pool and bar were great! The view was wonderful to watch sunsets! Had a nice lobby bar, also. They offer a shuttle to get you around to shops and restaurants.

I really just stopped up to show my 3 year old the view but the bartender, Troy, was so welcoming that we stayed for a drink. Super cool spot, the layout is modern and smart with comfortable furniture, the view is obviously spectacular and the rest of the staff is anything like Troy then this place has it all. We'll be back that's for sure.

Honestly, we’re expecting so much more. The location is wonderful although it’s very hard to get into the hotel because it’s oddly next to another hotel but the location for walking is wonderful. We could not get our room cleaned even after several requests we could not even get towels at one point. The creamer in the hotel for a morning coffee was bad and could not get that replaced until the end of the day. They charge $50 a day mandatory parking when there’s parking all over the place but they won’t let you do that. When you’re paying as much as the western commands, this is a bit over the top. The poor service just makes it not the best choice in Sarasota. There are so many other places.

The Westin Sarasota has become our go-to stay when visiting friends and family in the area, and this was our second year in a row staying here. The service is consistently excellent, and the overall experience feels reliable in the best way. The rooms are comfortable with great beds, which makes a big difference after long travel days. The rooftop pool and views are a standout—truly hard to beat—and it’s easily one of the highlights of staying here. The kids can happily spend an entire afternoon up there, and it’s always a big part of our trip. The location is also ideal, with easy access to downtown Sarasota’s restaurants and attractions, which makes it very convenient for getting around without much planning. Food and drink at the hotel are solid. The cocktails at the rooftop bar are consistently good, and while the food selection is fairly standard, it works well for a hotel setting. There’s also a small coffee shop in the lobby that is a bit pricey, but convenient and actually serves good coffee. One small but appreciated detail is having a microwave available in the lobby for guests—it’s surprisingly useful when traveling with kids. Overall, it’s a dependable, comfortable, and well-located hotel that makes visiting Sarasota easy, especially for families. We’ll definitely continue coming back.

My fiance and I stayed here for a night. The check in process was easy, front desk agent did a good job. I honestly really loved the design of the lobby, especially the leafy wall. The room overall was good but as soon as we entered, there was a really strong musty smell. The view from the room was pretty nice, its always nice to see all the lights in the night. Had a good night's sleep in the bed, really comfy.
