It's a good place, although if you want to be one of the first to enter, arrive at 8 pm to get on the list, they close. At 8 AM but they serve breakfast and dinner, there are showers and personal lockers, bathrooms without lids, they are completely cold metal, there is a big problem with bedbugs, but it is bearable, the lights turn off at night.10:30 at night and they turn on at 7 am, although on Saturdays it is until 9 am, the hours are they have a clothing room to choose from and the beds are two stories high. I recommend being one of the first.In registering why you can grab the bed with a plug but if you are not lucky you can ask the administrator if he can charge it please that would be all my experience there.

For Roots Young Adult Shelter, I haven’t been there before but I felt a high sense of pride than peace. To tell you about the 2nd floor near the kitchen, there’s a locker to your left. Anytime you need to go to your locker, you might have to let go of your locker too and keep your combination secret from others. The current staff is really great, the facilities are nice and well maintained, beds are decent, food is alright. Its focus is a low barrier to entry, which does allow for those who are intoxicated to enter. They do a good job of maintaining peace regardless. They also get you set up with some good resources, like case management, counseling, etc. Places like this make being homeless a bit more tolerable.

Lived here from 2019-2021. It’s what you make it. Your either going to handle your business or your going to waste your life way til you get kicked out. A lot of mental issues here, but also a lot of resources to assist you getting off the streets. Definitely helped!

Stayed here around 2019 for a few weeks when I was a teen, I’m in my own place now but I really needed that help. Good food, great staff, the bathrooms are clean and so are the beds. When I was there they had a locker system where you could keep stuff during the day while you were out and about, and a big library of free clothes and shoes and backpacks and stuff. They even washed my clothes for me overnight on request. Little to no restrictions for entry but a solid sign-in system for safety. Truly an awesome place that helps people, thank you Roots I’ll never forget what yall did for me :)

If your homeless 18 -25 awesome place
