Spokane Pride
About This Event
Spokane Pride is the city's June pride, run by the nonprofit Spokane Pride, and its Saturday parade reached its 35th edition in 2026. Dean Lynch, the former city councilman who has helped carry a giant rainbow flag in it for about 20 years, remembers early parades where some men watched from the skywalks with paper bags over their heads.
A Friday kickoff show with drag and karaoke comes first. On Saturday a noon parade through downtown flows straight into Riverfront Park for the Rainbow Festival, with five stages, about 250 vendors, two beverage gardens and a Two Spirit Powwow, now in its fourth year. An all-ages dance party at the Lilac Bowl closes the night. The festival is free.
Practical: downtown hotels are within walking distance, and the festival uses almost the whole park, so agree on a meeting point.
The 2026 edition ran 12 to 13 June. The parade had a political edge, with chants for Palestine and a contingent backing the "Spokane 3", protesters convicted weeks earlier over a 2025 ICE protest. The organizers speak of tens of thousands and a public-radio listing says over 50,000; we found no independent count. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked; the second Saturday of June has been the recent pattern.
