Found bugs in bed and asked to switch rooms. Front desk weren’t shocked or apologetic. The next room we had had dirty sheets. We left the hotel. Would not recommend!

We loved everything about this place! The staff was friendly. The hotel and rooms were unique. The Tavern was comfortable and drinks were delicious. We wish that we had more time during our stay to swim in their beautiful pool and eat at the restaurant.

I stayed at The Cheshire recently and it ended up being a pretty comfortable experience overall. The place has a unique, old-English theme that you notice right away—from the decor to the book-themed rooms. It’s a bit different from the usual modern hotels, which I actually liked because it gave the stay some personality. The room itself was clean and quiet, though not especially luxurious. The bed was comfortable enough, and everything I needed was there, but you can tell the building isn’t brand new. Still, it felt cozy rather than worn out. One thing I appreciated was the location. It’s close to Forest Park, so it was easy to get out for a walk or explore nearby spots. Parking was straightforward too, which made things less stressful. Service was generally fine—nothing over the top, but the staff were polite and helpful when needed. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want something with a bit more character than a standard chain hotel. It’s not perfect, but it feels welcoming and comfortable enough for a short stay.

I’m glad we just stayed one night. The staff wasn’t very friendly and pretty much made us feel like we were just bothering them at check in and out. We had 2 adjoining rooms so for what we paid we were beyond disappointed. Was it neat to look at for theme?….yes. Was it a good experience?….no. One room had towels that had long black hairs on them along with hairs stuck to side of shower walls. The other room was missing towels and one that was there had black smudges on and holes in. One room had ceiling tiles starting to fall down. The other room had carpet ripping up. The breakfast was pretty good. For what we paid though, to say we were a bit upset and disappointed is an understatement. We would not return and wouldn’t recommend. If you truly just want the theme and don’t care about anything else (including cleanliness) it would be the place for you. I will say it was neat to look at but that’s about it. I also will say, it was quiet, that I will say was very good about it.

Room was great. Has a parking garage below the hotel, but it isn't necessary to park down there, as there is not an elevator on the lower level, so you have to wall up some stairs to get to the elevator. The check in was short and to the point. Wasn't given directions very well, but I guess that is part of the adventure. Lovely majestic rooms and comfy beds. Clean bathroom.

The room should have a microwave and mini fridge. Toilet seat was half broken. Room is small for two beds. Ended up being $400.00 a night Too much compared to other hotels close by.

Came to check in and went to my room and it hd USED TOWELS IN IT!!!! I INFORMED FRONT DESK AND SHE JUST LOOKED AT ME. FOR 250 A NIGHT SHOULD HAVE A CLEAN ROOM WITH CLEAN TOWELS. NEVER WILL I STYHEAR AGAIN!!
