The rooms were comfortable and the location was quaint and a nice hallway for the wineries and the nature areas we wanted to visit. It was perfect for our 33rd anniversary. The breakfasts were delicious. The hospitality was outstanding. I highly recommend The Wine Inn and will return.
The room was very clean and nice. It was just 3 minutes from restaurants, wineries and breweries. But what made this a great place to stay were the owners. They made us feel at home. The breakfasts were awesome, with home grown eggs and home made cheeses. It was also fun visiting the dogs, goats, sheep and burros. Overall, just a great place to stay.
Had a great stay, Jason was a great host. It's a beautiful spot. Very scenic and close to Sonoita and all the wineries. Just make sure to follow Jason's email directions for how to get there. One of the roads is very rough. Would 100% stay there again.
Unfortunately 😔 the Wine Inn website does not represent the current situation of this place. The Inn it's self doesn't look at all like the photos on any site, it is very " rustic" & not well maintained sadly. On the website many things are mentioned as available which are not ( hot tubs, cold punge pool, fresh breads with gourmet breakfast, gorgeous views, tour of the farm or interaction events with the animals ( supposably only on weekends) and there was not wine: made, served or available at the Wine inn. It's totally bring your own. With that observation I must say the owner Jason was very personable and gracious. Loved the animals themselves, we did a self tour and petting zoo experience. I was disappointed 😞. Hoping once the expansion is complete the site will represent the beauty of the original Inn. I believe all advertised sites are from the original Inn and dated.
We enjoyed our three night stay at the Wine Inn! Jason was helpful and welcoming, the breakfast (and cookies) we're great. The peaceful location combined with wineries and hiking nearby is perfect.
Everything you may think heaven is like is right here at The Wine Inn on Mcginnis Ranch! It has, beautiful rooms, gorgeous scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and gracious hosts, thank you Jason & Tamra! The Inn is right across from numerous wineries and meaderies. The icing on the cake is getting to interact with the plentiful animals that inhabit the ranch and how they also give great customer service to their guests in the form of homemade sheep feta cheese, goat milk, & fresh farm eggs. Highly recommended!
The Wine Inn was fantastic! Jason was so helpful with ALL my many ?’s! He took the time to figure out where/what we wanted to do in the Sonoita wine country & he did not let us down! We had a great time at the wineries and distilleries! The Farm to table breakfasts were unbelievably delicious! Kept us full for the entire day! The goat milk with Madagascar vanilla bean was delicious, the feta cheese delicious, goats, milk, yogurt, and all the different fixings for it , the homemade bread, the eggs, the fruit, the meats, ALL Delicious! The highlight for me was all of the farm animals! All of the dogs, the sheep, the goats, the donkeys, rabbits, cats & kittens, chickens, roosters & the many Guinea fouls! But being there for the birth of two baby lambs and two baby kids was spectacular! I also got to bottle feed Jasper, the baby goat many times!! What a beautiful blessing that was for me! This place filled me with great joy! I felt renewed, rejuvenated, and most definitely relaxed! And the little touches that Jason remembered; playing Irish music, as I told him I was Irish, & providing vegetarian meals for me as well! Tamara, Jason & J & D were all so lovely! I can’t wait to stay there again!
