Spotless clean. Very nice owner. Welcoming environment. Perfect, walkable location for Five Points South neighborhood. Interesting, entertaining decor. We stayed in the Zen Den; the only downsides were being able to easily hear the guests in the neighboring room talking and using the bathroom sink, and also our loud refrigerator.

Birmingham Tree House is such a beautiful and welcoming place. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that a lot of care has gone into creating a peaceful and comforting environment. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, thoughtfully designed, warm, calming, and full of character. They have a way of making you feel relaxed almost immediately, and the overall atmosphere is both uplifting and serene. One of the things that makes Birmingham Tree House stand out is the way they offer more than just a beautiful space. Their yoga offerings add such a calming and restorative element, and the counseling services (Natalie Hottel) make it clear that this is a place centered on healing, growth, and well-being. It is wonderful to see a space that combines beauty, mindfulness, and emotional support so intentionally. Birmingham Tree House feels like a true refuge for anyone looking for peace, encouragement, and a nurturing environment. The combination of stunning rooms, yoga, and counseling makes it a very special place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and refreshing experience. Natalie Hottel is a truly outstanding therapist and someone I would recommend without hesitation. From the very beginning, she brings a level of warmth, compassion, and professionalism that immediately helps you feel safe and at ease. She has a remarkable ability to listen deeply and attentively, making you feel genuinely heard rather than simply responded to. In a world where it can be difficult to find people who truly understand how to hold space for others, Natalie stands out in the best possible way. What makes Natalie especially exceptional is her balance of empathy and insight. She is not only kind and supportive, but also thoughtful, perceptive, and incredibly skilled at helping you work through difficult emotions, patterns, and life circumstances with clarity. She has a way of asking the right questions, offering meaningful perspective, and helping you recognize things about yourself and your situation that you may not have seen on your own. Her guidance feels both grounded and compassionate, which makes the therapeutic process feel productive as well as comforting. Natalie also creates an environment free of judgment, which is so important in therapy. She makes it easier to be honest, vulnerable, and open, even when discussing things that feel painful, confusing, or deeply personal. That sense of trust is invaluable, and it speaks to the kind of therapist she is. You can tell that she truly cares about the people she works with and is deeply invested in their healing, growth, and well-being. Another thing that stands out about Natalie is her authenticity. She does not come across as distant or mechanical; she feels genuinely present, engaged, and committed to helping her clients move forward in a healthy and meaningful way. Her calm presence, emotional intelligence, and professionalism create a strong foundation for real progress. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, grief, relational struggles, personal growth, or simply trying to better understand themselves, Natalie has the ability to offer support that feels both personal and effective. Overall, Natalie Hottel is the kind of therapist who leaves a lasting positive impact. She combines compassion, wisdom, patience, and clinical skill in a way that is truly rare. If you are looking for a therapist who will make you feel seen, supported, challenged in the right ways, and genuinely cared for, Natalie is an excellent choice. Working with someone like her can make a profound difference, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she provides.

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and we had a truly delightful and magical time. The house was so welcoming and felt like we were staying with friends. Loved being so close to 5 points and got so many design ideas to bring to our house from how the Tree House is decorated. Loved the experience!

Such a welcoming, quiet, peaceful place. Renny pays attention to all the details in her decorating, communication, care for her guests’ comfort, and calming presence. She invites you to her yoga sessions and to partake in the snacks/breakfast bar she has available. Great place! Which is why I’m a returning guest.
