About this place Hilton Garden Inn

The Hilton Garden Inn at 1401 H Street Northwest is a perfectly fine place for anyone visiting Washington, DC, and it’s especially good if you’re looking for a hotel that openly welcomes LGBTQ+ travelers.

It’s a Hilton, so you know what you’re getting: one of 600-plus locations across North America, Europe, Russia, and Asia. Expect the usual luxury hospitality chain standards, for better or worse. Think dependable, not groundbreaking.

The look is contemporary, but with a bit of polish. Rooms are comfortable enough. The dining service is there if you need it. And if you’re in town for work, sightseeing, or to check out DC’s queer scene and monuments, the central downtown location makes it easy to get around.

They’re upfront about being LGBTQ+-friendly, which means you’ll get professional, inclusive service. If you want a reliably upscale stay in Washington, with amenities that work and food that fills you up, this hotel lets you get on with your trip without any fuss.

Anthony did a great job and let us store our bikes in the hotel thank you!

Perfect location! Our room was as quiet as I have ever experienced in a downtown hotel. Seriously, no noise. We had a Jr King Suite on 8th floor. White House a few blocks away. For longer journey, McPherson station is literally across the street. Take metro train to Capitol South to tour the Capitol and don't skip the Library of Congress or the Botanical Gardens. BEAUTIFUL!

Lobby is rather depressing. Everything else is about the same.

Stay away from this hotel if you don’t want be left with no room even if you have confirmed booking. They didn’t honor a confirmed and paid booking and left me with no option at 3:00 am. I had to spend hours outside until I found another hotel. The front desk employees are shady like they are hiding something. This hotel doesn’t look safe at all.

Terrible if you are sensitive to noise. You can everything off the street and the hvac machines are even worse.
