Kimpton Hotel Rouge

The rooms are very spacious and excellent! We arrived as a couple and 3 children. We asked for a connecting door at the hotel before arrival and were given 2 adjoining rooms with a connecting door. The room is very spacious and well-organized, there is a work desk with electrical outlets that the design creates separation from the bedroom. Work comfortably even if the others are sleeping. The view is urban, the windows are large. The staff is charming, very polite and the hotel is always clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel where every dish on the menu is something special, we had dinner there with the children and it was very pampering and special. There is a coffee stand in the morning that is open to all hotel guests and is located in the lobby. Anything you forgot to bring or are missing they will be able to help you complete by calling the reception. Everything was wonderful! We enjoyed it very much. There is no doubt at all that we will return.

Just a few blocks north of the White House, this hotel is well located. We enjoyed our stay here, close to the National Geographic Museum of Exploration.

Prime location! Near to WholeFoods, 14th street, and the Mall. Room is okay, minimalist furniture, no balcony, rooftop is closed, not much space for the lobby area. Relatively clean, good housekeeping, free wine hours daily. Expensive $300/night with dog & car park.

If you want to sleep on plastic sheets with a plastic duvet, insert… I guess this is the right hotel for you. I can’t imagine that this is the standard of a four-star hotel. This is definitely a two star masquerading as a four star based on the quality of the bedding. I had a conversation with the manager and she indicated that was the standard for the hotel.

Great location and nice staff!

My stay at the Kimpton Banneker Hotel was pleasant. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room was tidy, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience met my expectations. I had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again in the future. Thank you for the hospitality.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very nice, clean, and large. The service was very friendly. The restaurant and the food was outstanding. The location is very good - but it is still about 7-10 minutes to the closest Metro station.

Great hotel for a short stay in Washington, DC. The location is excellent, you can walk from the hotel to all the sights, such as the White house, all the Memorials, etc. We had a premium twin room. We loved how spacious the room was, that there are wooden floors, no carpet. There’s a fridge in the room. We missed slippers, but requested those at reception. The only downside was the personnel at the bar/restaurant LeSel. They were busy doing nothing and not noticed the guests wanting to order or wanting to pay. The service was really bad. Otherwise would have been a better review.

This hotel is gorgeous and fun. Acommodations and amenities were great. Great spot to grab drinks or spend a night relaxing and enjoying the scenery. I was there for a photoshoot and it was perfect. The only downside was due to it's proximity to the White House there was a protest going on when I arrived. But it was over quickly and didn't ruin my night. Edited 5/26 -- I wanted to say thus hotel has been renovated since my visit and is nothing like it was when I visited, which is sad because it was such a fun place to stay. I wish there was another one like it.
