Cal Anderson Park

Love watching the puppies play.

Lots of benches to sit and read or hangout, beautiful grassy areas where you can have a picnic, public tennis courts and a nice man made pond where you can watch the ducks play and bathe. All the trees smells so good where the benches are and there is plenty of street parking (paid). I stayed for about an hour and read my book and it was very peaceful. I saw other groups of people playing games and throwing a ball around or walking their dogs. Very pleasant park in a central downtown location.

A walk is fine but don't stop for too long

Not. A place for kids or NIMBY's

Great when it’s nice out as everyone seems to gather here. Random pop-ups and live music and the likes often. Plenty of sketchy activities happening but also good and productive recreation like basketball, skateboarding, soccer, etc.

Restrooms could have been open, but otherwise an urban reserve in the middle of the city
