Studio Allston Hotel

Convenient location near Soldiers Field and Harvard. Rooms are comfortable enough but parts of the hotel could benefit from updating. The funky/artist vibe mostly works giving the place a quirky feel in all the right ways.

This place good use a good clean. Carpets and stairwells throughout need attention. Laundry service requires coins to operate machine and to buy soap. No problem, except the soap dispenser takes the coins but doesn’t dispense soap. Coin machine was out of coins the two days we stayed. No money in site to refund any losses but they gave me a box of soap. Asked for extra towels which they said would be sent to the room and were not. Bar attendant was MIA for good bits of time. The beds were very comfortable. Location is close to Boston. There is a salt house on one side of the building which is not in any of the pictures you’ll see online. At times the area was noisy but this is expected in a big city.

Great location to hold an event. Wonderful friendly staff.

Amazing place

This is a boutique hotel and therefore not for everyone. Employees were pleasant, but not very attentive. Ping pong table in lobby made for a noisy ambiance at times. Breakfast was nice. However, no coffee service in your room. The location is everything.

We used to LOVE this place, stayed here a few times. But this was the SECOND time we've had to move rooms for maintenance issues. This time the sink was slow to drain. The "engineer" spend over an HOUR, LOUDLY snaking it. It was late and I wanted to rest. Early on he said we could move to a different room, I asked how much longer (he didn't speak english very well), he indicated not long. So I said to just finish it. BIG MISTAKE. It was a nightmare. We finally asked for another room. 2 times in about 8 stays here- that's unacceptable. Too bad, we had some fun at this place. But with room maintenance questionable, I cannot recommend it like I used to.
