Yonkers Pride

Yonkers Pride is the volunteer-run nonprofit behind the annual Yonkers Pride Festival, the city's flagship LGBTQ+ celebration held each June along Main Street in downtown Yonkers. Working with the Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront BID and the City of Yonkers Mayor's LGBTQ+ Advisory Board, the organisation has grown the festival into a full day of live entertainment, drag performances, community vendors and family activities, plus a Pride flag-raising at City Hall's Unity Fountain and an annual LGBTQ+ scholarship. First held in 2017, the festival reached its ninth edition in 2026 and is the clearest expression of Yonkers' own visible queer community, distinct from the county-wide Westchester Pride in White Plains.
