About the venue
Retro Bar is a gay pub in George Court, a narrow alley off the Strand a few minutes from Charing Cross station. It's more West End than Soho. The music is 70s, 80s and indie rather than chart pop, and the crowd is a mixed, chatty bunch that is more relaxed than the Soho bars…
“Popped in here after a meal. Didn’t know it existed. Great place full of character and depth, such an important space for the LGBQT+ community . Will be back. Friendly and fun.” — Sally M, Tripadvisor
“One of last standing LGBTQI+ bars . Friendly staff. Inclusive and iconic. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈” — Mogi MN Natsagdorj, Google
