The Inchcolm by Ode Hotels

What an amazing weekend we had at The Inchcolm. The modernised heritage hotel has everything you need. From the moment you walk in the doors you greeted by the friendly staff. The bar is a wonderful cosy space with great cocktails on offer. If you dine in you'll be amazed at the quality of the dishes., the quail entree and duck main are amazing. After commenting to Marie (waitress) how wonderful everything was the young chef came out to say hello. Definitely will be heading back.👍

Beautiful boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The Inchcolm by Ode was stylish, comfortable and genuinely dog friendly. Maggie was so spoiled with a personalised welcome letter, toys, food, blanket, bed and even a special puptail by Dr Kate Adams waiting for her on arrival. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, the complimentary drinks and breakfast pastries were a lovely touch, and the room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were amazing. It is rare to find a hotel that makes both pets and their humans feel so welcome. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Inchcolm by Ovolo. The hotel is full of character, combining beautiful heritage architecture with stylish modern touches. The room was elegant, comfortable, and unique, with a boutique luxury feel that’s very different from standard chain hotels. Staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was sophisticated yet relaxing. Excellent location near Brisbane CBD, with a quiet and charming environment. One of the most memorable hotel stays I’ve had in Brisbane.

This was my first visit to the city, and what a great introduction! The front desk team is wonderfully friendly, energetic, and incredibly helpful. I loved the vibrant vibe - it's a delightful contrast to the charm of this historical building. Even though my stay was short, I truly enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

A hotel that looks like a 4-star luxury hotel, but FEELS like a 2-star budget experience. A lot of things went wrong during our stay, listed as follows: - We requested a late check out upon booking, only to receive a curt, 3-word response: “subject to availability”. You’d receive nicer responses from budget hotels. - Upon arriving, the reception was unattended. That confused us, so we walked through the hallway only to be stopped by a pretty rude woman shouting: “Excuse me?!” When I told her the reception was unattended, she said: “Well, I was eating my lunch.” Totally unprofessional and with a real attitude. - The lift wasn’t working for most of the time that we were there. - The aircon in the room was way too cold and whenever we turned it up it automatically reverted back to 18 degrees. - Of course, and as expected from this budget hotel experience, the late checkout didn’t work out. Believe it or not, but their surcharges are CRAZY: 185 dollars for late afternoon checkout, and up to 300 for an evening checkout. I’ve stayed in ibis hotels that were more generous than that. Add to this that when we were there, the hotel was WHISPER QUIET. Except for one person in the lobby during our stay, I didn’t see a single soul. Pretty sure the hotel wasn’t booked the next night, in which case they could have easily accommodated our request without a surcharge. - To really prove the point that this is essentially a budget hotel experience, the receptionist called me in the afternoon to say that the 10 dollar (!) bag of cheap Woolies lollies we got from the minibar couldn’t be charged to my credit card as I had forgot to add money to said travel card. To CALL for a bag of OVERPRICED LOLLIES is truly, truly ridiculous. That’s one way of making sure we’re not return customers. It’s a perfect example of a hotel that looks nice, but operates like a budget hotel. So embarrassing. We will not be coming back. Next time we’ll stay at the Sofitel across the road, who are always so forthcoming. The Inchcolm certainly isn’t.

We had the most beautiful stay at The Inchcolm over our wedding, and I honestly couldn’t speak more highly of the experience. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the team made us feel so welcomed, cared for, and genuinely celebrated. A very special thank you to Jherico, the Front Office Manager, who initially made our reservation and so generously surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. It meant so much to us and made our stay feel even more special during such an important time in our lives. Brooke and Maria at reception were also absolutely amazing — so warm, friendly, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their kindness truly stood out. Truly, everyone we crossed paths with during our stay was so happy for us and brought such a positive, uplifting energy. It made the whole experience feel even more special and personal. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is so unique and charming, but it’s really the people who make it unforgettable. Thank you for making our wedding stay so seamless, comfortable, and memorable. We’re so grateful and will always look back on our time at The Inchcolm so fondly.

We stayed in room 102. Recorded music from the bar below played all night, even though the bar was closed and reception closes at 11pm. Makes no sense, playing music to no-one. Very disappointing for such a lovely venue, where we expected a higher standard of customer service and care. This was a special treat to stay at this venue and unfortunately we left disappointed and very tired.

There is a complimentary Fruit/pastry bar and barista coffee in the morning.

Kevin the bartender, amazing service also happy for 3 hour from 4pm - 7pm $7 beers PHENOMENAL!!! Highly recommend!!!
