Big Gay Day Brisbane
About This Event
Big Gay Day, a one-day party at The Wickham in Fortitude Valley, typically goes down in early May. You'll get DJs, drag, and big-name acts - last time around, in 2025, it was Peach PRC, The Presets, and some Drag Race Down Under finalists.
It's been a bumpy ride since then. There was no Big Gay Day in 2026. Initially, it was rescheduled for Sunday, 4 October 2026, but by August, the organiser had pushed it to 2027, citing 'skyrocketed' costs in an interview with Star Observer.
DJ Harry K stepped in to fill the October slot with Gay Out: Block Party at The Wickham. A smaller event, Little Gay Day, still happened on 3 May 2026.
No new date for 2027 has been announced yet.
