Brisbane Pride Festival

Brisbane Pride, Queensland's big LGBTQ+ party, brings tens of thousands to Fortitude Valley and New Farm every September. It's been going since 1990.

The main event is Brisbane Pride Fair Day in New Farm Park: a huge outdoor gathering with stages, food, and plenty of dogs. The rest of the week, the city's queer bars and clubs fill up with film screenings, shows, and parties. Brisbane's cultural scene is getting better, and the weather's reliably warm, making this one of Australia's more pleasant Pride destinations.
