Safety is one thing, but really what this place needs is a little sense of danger. I’m looking to be checked out mercilessly on the way to the dark room. Look me up and down and make me weak at the knees please. Snap that fisting glove around your elbow. A harness wearing go go boy or bartender. A little dark subversive oomph. How about a crucifix Sunday to celebrate the return of our lord? 🙏 That kind of energy. At last Canberra is opening gay spaces! The bar man is cute. The place is fab. More please!

First and foremost... Chi Chiz feels safe. It feels like a community bar ran by people who care about creating a safe space for our LGBTIQA+ families. I went to their sinfully sweet drag and brolesque show last night with friends and have been buzzing about how joyful it was. I don't think we have had a bar in Canberra that has every felt so happy.... also their trivia night is fabulous... Thank you Chi Chiz.

Amazing staff and outstanding service. Accidentally left my phone at the bar and they kept it safe for me. I reached out on Instagram and received a quick response, they arranged a convenient time for me to pick it up, even outside their regular hours.

I love Ethan on the bar. He’s the best for conversation and making my drinks. Doesn’t compare to any other bar. He’s such a good lad.

Still new but already carving out it's own niche. At times can be a bit too crowded for my personal preference, but they've made great and smart use of the space available to them. Always worth stopping in for a drink or two!

Fantastic new bar with a great inclusive vibe. Friendly staff, good energy and a crowd that makes everyone feel welcome. Bonus points for the bathroom chalk walls – equal parts comedy, art gallery and late-night philosophy. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Great new bar , lots of activities through the week trivia and karaoke 🎤 bar staff are so friendly and welcoming 😁 great social events and cheap drinks through the week happy hours as well 😀

The staff welcomed us so warmly we couldn’t help but stick around! The atmosphere and live music was fantastic, and it is also clown friendly 🤡💜

The only bar that made me feel safe in all of Canberra. Owners are so wholesome. I felt able to dance however I wanted without any sexual or uncomfortable states. Love the bartenders. ♥️ Best bar in Canberra
