Amazing rocks! Beautiful place, as always. Live the black rocks in the headlands but also the little rocks under foot on the beach

Had been visiting this beautiful beach many times as a tourist in the last 3 years. Always enjoyed it. My sentiment changed, however, when becoming witness of an absolutely life threatening incident on Saturday afternoon on Feb 8th, 2025. Thanks to the attention and help of some surfers three persons could be rescued and brought back to the beach. One of them more dead than alive … All locals know about the current called “Diggers Express” at the south end which is appreciated by the surfers since it pulls them out into the open sea to enjoy the surf. Same happens quite likely to swimmers if they enter the water in that area - hardly no chance to return by themselves once they have surpassed a certain point. More than regrettable that except for holidays no life savers are on duty - even though this is the number 1 rated beach of Coffs Harbour and hence attracting many tourists! And even simple measures like a big sign/map at the beach entrance pointing out the specific dangers of this beach are missing… What needs to happen till the responsible people at Coffs Harbour will take some appropriate actions?!

We found this place just up from where we were staying. What a great find. We walked a little further up the beach away from the life guards as we weren't going to swim. It was a beautiful secluded area just literally a few minutes walk away. Clean white sands. Afterwards we stopped for a coffee and ice lolly on our way back to the car, the staff were very polite and friendly, other staff standing round all seemed very happy providing a nice atmosphere. We didn't eat food but saw it coming out whilst we waited for coffee and it looked good.

Din’t swim in the south rock area, dangerous rip! Me and my daughter got caught in a huge rip from the shore. If swimming, stay in the center area.

Ideal beach to bring children for a run. Rained before we arrived, but was lovely & cool. Some decent waves, so may be good for surfers, not sure. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon walking the beach up & back down.

A delightful beach amid the splendour of Coffs Harbour, with waves crashing and brilliant weather. Well worth the stop off and also good to walk up the coast path a little way for the views

Spent 4 days here at the Aanuka Resort which is right on Digger’s Beach. I rated it “very good” as the beach is not busy; probably 20 people each day so you’re not tripping over each other. We were here at the end of summer and weather was great. Two parking areas, no fee to park. Beach very clean, good surf, no lifeguard.

Great for surfing and you can get really good waves even for little kids. Water is pretty warm and there are lifeguards during the day. Overall a great beach.

This is a very windy beach with lots of cigarette butts. It could be a real cold place. The parking area looked very dirty.

What a friendly place to have a morning walk go up the walkway at the south side it’s magnificent, Locals are so friendly the coffee is fantastic from the van the lady serving is so nice and a local business that’s well worth supporting. Be careful the surf is very dangerous with a massive rip on the south side., the beach is unpatrolled Go enjoy stay close to the shore.
