One of the greatest joys of the Kohler as an overnight is the friendly service and the chocolates. When I checked in I noticed the chocolates were not on my pillow. I ordered room service and a LOVELY lady delivered my food. I mentioned it to her jokingly and she offered to bring some RIGHT back. I declined her generosity thinking I would just mention it at check out. When I went to check out everything changed. I approached the podium occupied by Trudie. I requested to pay my room charges as well as noted I did not receive chocolates. She was unphased. I said "I would like them, they are the highlight of my stay." She said $30.99, completely ignoring what I said she continued "what card will you be using?". I replied, "visa" -about those chocolates. She said I would have to call housekeeping for that. I said ok. Please do. I would be willing to pay for them. She didn't move. As we stood there she stated "I am waiting to see if your card will process." I said EXCUSE ME? She then called housekeeping. Saying "I was questioning whether or not chocolates were there." I said, no that's not correct. They weren't there. She hung up saying I confirmed they were there and they are NOT going to give you some more! I have stayed here multiple times without issue. I can emphatically say i have never experienced a Trudie and hope someone would coach her up.
Lodge Kohler is a spectacular facility with incredible service! Tavern in the Sky provided an amazing meal and views! I highly recommend!
The hotel states 4 stars but I would give it two stars. It was impossible to order room service, the one phone in the suite didn't work. You called for bell service for assistance with bags and while there were three staff around no one answered the phone. Called the front desk and they forgot to ask staff that were standing there. The roof top restaurant had a great menu but the kitchen was not on par with a 4 start hotel maybe a 2 star and in line with a IHOP.. ordered food and it came ice cold...never had that happen before ever. We were at the hotel for five nights. If you stay at the hotel on a weekend don't face Totletown as they have great workout classes Saturday and Sunday. The reverb from the music vibrates off of the windows. So if you want to sleep in the noise will wak you up. The only thing the hotel has going for it for most is it's across the street of Lambeau field. I say save you money and book a Hilton down the street. This place is over rated.
If your planning a trip to Green Bay or visiting Lambeau Field, I can highly recommend the Lodge Kohler. The rooms, bathrooms, indoor pool, Tavern in the Sky, and the breakfast menu is all truly the Kohler Experience but in a relaxed welcoming environment.
Will be back!
