About this place CREST-クレスト-

CREST is listed as a small gay bar on the second floor of the Murata Building near Nakano-sakaue Station, in the same block as other local gay bars in Nakano ward. It follows the usual Tokyo neighbourhood format: a counter with a few seats, a master behind the bar, and mostly regulars. There are only four reviews (3.0) and no hours or website. Expect a table charge, and some Japanese helps. Shinjuku Ni-chome, with more bars that welcome foreigners, is a short train ride away.

There's seating for about six at the counter and some booth seating, and the restrooms are clean. There's karaoke, and the clientele seems to be mainly in their 30s and 40s. The owner (mama) is in her 50s, seems to have come from the Shinjuku Ni-chome area, and has a strong personality. The customers are mainly locals from the neighborhood, and it's a place where people who know each other have a good time, so it's probably best to go with someone you know. Going alone as a newcomer would require considerable communication skills and would be quite difficult.

This men's only bar is based on the concept of an "adult cultural festival." It's a place that connects people, things, and events, so just visiting is exciting. It has a relaxed atmosphere, as well as a hideaway-like feel, making it a very comfortable place.
