About this place Hotel Paris

Hotel Paris sits at 2-26-2 Dogenzaka, on the hill west of Shibuya Station that is known for its dense block of love hotels, and it appears to be one of them. It is listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue, and its Google score is 3.6 from about 50 reviews. If it works like its neighbours, it will offer short daytime 'rest' slots and later overnight 'stay' check-in, which is not how a regular hotel runs. Some love hotels in Tokyo still turn away same-sex couples, so call ahead or check the website. Shibuya Station and the Scramble Crossing are about five minutes' walk down the hill.

It's a terrible hotel. Smoky pizza. Horrible decor. We ran away from how ugly and gloomy it was. I'll never go back.

This hotel in Dogenzaka, Shibuya, primarily offers hourly rooms and quick rest, but overnight stays are also possible. It's perfect for when you're tired from exploring the area, need a temporary stay, or even just traveling with friends. The front desk staff are friendly and speak fluent English. The rooms are standard for this type of hotel, with a small entryway. Check-in and check-out are simple, and the bathroom amenities are complete.

The hotel is in a great location and is easy to use whenever you feel like it. The room was simple but well-cleaned, and I had a relaxing time. The price was relatively reasonable, so I think it was good value for money. The staff were very helpful and I felt at ease both checking in and out. It's a great hotel for short stays or casual stays. I'd like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

I visited again after a long time (about 20 years). It was around 4 PM on a Friday, but it was fully booked. I feel like it was never fully booked at the same time when I used to frequent the hotel. The name wasn't PARIS, I think it was (ART P&A Plaza)? For some reason, I can't find any information about it when I search. It seems this hotel is popular now, so it might be better to book in advance. I was too optimistic. Incidentally, room 101 became available in about 5 minutes, but it wasn't the higher-grade room I wanted. 😨
