Spacious rooms and the host is amazing. Highly recommended.

A super centrally located motel in Motueka, just a 3-minute drive from the skydiving area. The owners are incredibly friendly; the owner personally checked in on us several times to see how we were doing and what our plans were. They also gave us tips on hiking trails in Abel Tasman National Park. The rooms aren't the most modern, but that didn't bother us. Everything was very clean.

From the checkin the host was unfriendly. When we reported issues of no batteries in heat pump remote, electric blanket wasn't working, fridge had been turned off and car park for our unit was not available, he was unconcerned. He responded it wasn't cold (according to him), we could park elsewhere and would have to wait for electric blanket part so never replaced it for the 4 nights we were there. When we checked out he was just as unfriendly and didn't even look at me. We would definitely not stay there again due to the inhospitable host and his unwillingness to help.

Very good place to stay

Very comfortable and clean with Sky TV, good space, nice and quiet. Short walk to supermarket shops and restaurants. Great location! Chris and Kathleen are lovely hosts. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Excellent motel. The room is spacious, clean, and the fittings are in new condition. After staying across NZ in multiple motels on this trip from Australia, we are really getting sick of motels with dusty carpet and worn out everything. This one is completely different: fresh carpets, curtains, paint, the bed linen is modern and hotel quality, the heater is highly effective, all beds have electric blankets on them, and the kitchen is suitable for cooking a full meal in. Bathroom is lovely, a good sized shower with places to put toiletries, good shower pressure, hot water is abundant, everything is ideal. We have a family suite with a Queen bed and separate twin bedroom, the twin room has a desk with mirror and plugs, ideal for sitting down to do makeup & hair, though that’s also possible in the other rooms, I really like this set up for my morning dressing. It’s also really obvious that this hotel is not hosting long term emergency housing tenants, which makes it feel safer than other motels we stayed at around NZ before reaching Motueka. Our hosts have been welcoming and friendly. The parking feels safe. We have a gorgeous view of the mountains (which you couldn’t really imagine when looking at this place from the road, unless you were a local you would not realise how stunning the view is on the other side of the property.) The tea, coffee and hot chocolate is good quality. Milk is provided. Housekeeping have given us fresh towels including bath mats, facecloths and kitchen towels every day. TV remotes work properly and easily, the WIFI is strong and reliable. The kitchen has nice glassware, crockery and utensils, all in good condition, something that is often missing in other motels. The linen is good quality and I would use it in my own home. I own a high end skin clinic, so linen is very important to me! It’s been quiet, warm and peaceful here. We just walked to the local shops to get some baked goods, and are settling in to watch a movie on the couch in our room. We will stay here again. An absolutely perfect motel experience, very good value for money, a credit to the owners.

This is a real gem of a find in Moteuka. It is styled as a motel. Rooms are huge, spacious and included full kitchens with microwaves. It is spotlessly clean and there is ample parking alongside a small, sheltered garden area with a braai (barbeque unit) which guests can freely use at thier leisure. The South African owners give a warm, kind and efficient welcome and can advise on where to visit in local area. It's worth noting hotel is on Moteuka high Street and a stones throw from McDonalds, KFC, the Yorkshire tea cafe, supermarkets and amenities - essential for cooking.

Good central location. It's easy to walk into town for meals. There's also a supermarket right next door. The room and bathroom are quite large. Nice balcony. The kitchen is fairly well-equipped, including a toaster and stovetop. Unfortunately, there's no oven or air fryer. It's best to make your own breakfast. You can hear cars with the windows closed, but it's pretty quiet at night, so it's not a big deal. A washing machine, dryer, and clotheslines are available for $2. There's also plenty of parking.
