The Cabana

The Cabana is a mainstream live venue and bar at 11 Shakespeare Road, Bluff Hill, sharing the address with Crash Palace backpackers. It is not a gay bar. It is listed here because it is where touring drag bingo comes to Napier: Anita Wigl'it and Rita Menu have both played it, and Trinity Ice runs Drag Queen Bingo here on 19 November 2026, tickets NZ$30, R18. On other nights it's a general music and bar crowd, so check the listing before heading up. Napier's isite what's-on page is the easiest place to find what's coming. It rates 4.4 on Google from about 300 reviews.
