Was the most lovely place to be on a rainy Sunday evening. The ambiance, jazz band, and customer service were all exquisite, and you'll be cosy whether you're inside or out on the patio.

Spent a week in Queenstown and came back every night! Nathan was amazing, awesome service and has experience to show. Stand out experience of many bars I’ve been to recently, he was super welcoming and clearly had passion behind his work. Frankly the whole team was great, on top of the cozy atmosphere and the most extensive whisky selection I’d found in town. 10/10, will be back again.

I visited yesterday for the Valli wine tasting after seeing it promoted on Instagram. I’m a big fan of Valli wines, so I was genuinely excited to attend. The wines themselves were excellent and the service was friendly throughout the experience. However, there were a couple of areas where I think the experience could be improved. Firstly, the tasting price was not clearly communicated. We ordered two Valli wine flights and were surprised to find they were $90 each when it came time to pay. I completely appreciate the quality and value of Valli wines, but I believe pricing should be clearly displayed either in the promotion, on the menu, or communicated before ordering. Transparency helps guests make informed decisions and avoids uncomfortable surprises at the end. Secondly, we arrived with a First Table booking and all tables were occupied. We were offered seats by the fireplace while waiting, which was perfectly fine, and a table became available within about five minutes. What stood out, though, was that nobody asked for my name or booking details. It made the process feel a little disorganised from an operational perspective. One final observation: if special wine flights are not promoted in-house or listed on the menu, there is a risk that some of these wines may not sell through efficiently, potentially leading to unnecessary wastage. Better visibility could benefit both guests and the business. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, loved the wines, and appreciated the hospitality. My feedback is intended constructively.

Bardeaux is a great little bar in Queenstown. It has a cozy atmosphere, especially with the fireplace going. The bartenders really know what they’re doing, and they have a lovely selection of rum, gin, and whiskey. I had a dirty gin martini and it was phenomenal. A good spot for a really well-made drink.
