Peninsula International Hotel Suva

Pathetic service with filthy rooms. Stained bedsheets with molds in bathroom. Dirty washroom area. Porter said can't do much as housekeeping has control when asked to change. Moved from rooms to rooms in search for a better room after arriving for almost an hour. Booked for 2 nights but checked out early morning next day. I don't recommend anyone to stay in Penninsula

This hotel is on the cheaper side compared to other hotels in Suva. The facilities are basic, but the shower has plenty of hot water and the air conditioning works well. I didn't find any bed bugs in my room. Breakfast is served in the hotel's first-floor restaurant and consists only of bread, cereal, and fruit. The coffee is very good. The paid meals at this restaurant are excellent, and you could easily find a restaurant to eat at this hotel. The menu includes Fijian cuisine, fried meat dishes, and the pizza was also delicious. The curry tasted more like authentic Indian curry, which wasn't really to my liking.

I think one of a worst hotel i stayed in, they made me feel like a criminal. I decided to buy some tribe drinks from the shop to try it out in the room in the comfort of my room. Which where 6 packets of my cigarettes disappeared in thin air.. no biggies its only cigarettes. That night while pulling up to the hotel car park we were met by the security who rudely assumed we had alcohol, and that we weren't allowed alcohol in the premises lol. Understanding the situation and policy we decided to feel our water bottle with the tribe to take a walk and sip from. Before hand the security guard went ballistic, trying to track our whereabouts following us round the hotel. Again I didn't appreciate that because we didnt drink any alcohol in the premises. We had to drink it out in the dark in public. We weren't even allowed at the pool to drink their own alcohol but they can drink grog their. Well Peninsula that u for ruining our stay and I won't be booking with you in the future. Also train your staff to be more friendly and understanding and not embarass your guests.

Well maintained for the price, friendly staff, great location. Great if you looking to just crash for the night... avoid the rooms in main road as bit of road noise. But good value for money.. the kitchen has really good food.. yet their chilly chicken 🐔 😋

Absolutely avoid at all costs. The place is filthy. There was no hot water for my shower, blood on the bed pillow, previous tenants' hair in the shower, mold in the bathroom, dirty bath towels, the couch had broken springs so you fell into it. The food in the restaurant was overcooked. The bathroom toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. You are not allowed to bring any alcohol on the premises, so you couldn't enjoy a glass of wine in your room after you finished work. No wifi. No bedside lamps. The staff were lovely on the 1st day, but after I complained the next morning, they were downright rude. Staff arriving for their shifts would yell at each other across the courtyard at 4.30am, waking me up. Was meant to stay 17 nights but checked out as soon as I found another hotel.
