Classic building in 1950-ies style. Old but well maintained. . AC ok . Fan ok . Shower ok . Fridge inside the room
Location and staff are fine. Problem is the bathroom. First day, toilet broke, couldn't flush. Shower water pressure is so incredibly weak. I swear, I piss harder than it. My first night was a nightmare, there was a party or whatever on the streets and I could literally hear everything.
This boutique hotel is conveniently located in Makati Metro Manila and has a retro charm. Having said that, there is some noise coming from the surrounding streets. Considering the price it's a very good deal if one doesn't care for maintenance hiccups such as small water leaks from the bidet or faucet, low intensity lights (in some rooms), tiny TVs with some local channels, no daily supply of water and coffee and no in-house restaurant. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the deluxe room and in some other rooms as well. The staff is responsive and will do their best to assist you.
There is a rude staff here. The old lady with tattoo is hard to approach. The towels were old. The water will suddenly stop dripping and the warm water has latency since they uses solar power. I wont go back here anymore. I was here for a week now. I dont recommend this place.
This themed hotel is a bit of an institution, has been around since forever as far as I know. But it was my first time to stay here and it was long enough to get a good grip of it. I feel like the building and its facilities have seen better days. The roof over the stairway leaks, hot water wasn't working, and the rooms look really dated. Having said that...you're not gonna get spacious rooms like this for the price point anywhere else. Staff was helpful when we needed them. Paid parking was available. AC was a window type unit that sufficiently cooled the room. You got food and drink options in all directions nearby, and is excellent if you don't mind the seedy bars. Would stay here again as long as the hot shower works.
Yes, it's centrally located in Makati. I'm here or in Central. Everything's there.
