Scorpion Bar, on Soi Pratuchai, is a gay bar in Bangkok that's a bit of a curveball.
It’s a newer spot, and it doesn't try to be another of the city’s many late-night dance clubs. Bangkok's gay scene is huge, and this place carves out its own niche.
Instead of pulsing beats, Scorpion Bar puts on live acoustic guitar most nights. A solo performer plays later in the evening, which makes for a much more relaxed vibe. You can actually talk to people here, unwind after a day of sightseeing, and hear yourself think. It’s a welcome change from the usual high-energy club scene.
You’ll find it on Soi Pratuchai, right where Ocean Boy a go go used to be. It’s easy to spot in Bangkok’s main gay district.

My friend and I enjoyed a few large Leo beers at the Scorpion bar at 110 baht per bottle, very reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and friendly and you can order food from the stall next door, pretty good it is too.
One of my favorite bars in the Boxing stadium area! Awesome staff, owner and pool table! Recommend visiting! 🤘
The drinks and food at this place were truly delicious. I highly recommend it to Japanese people. They recommend only the finest drinks, and the food is truly excellent. I really recommend it. Furthermore, I was deeply impressed by the kindness of the bartender. He was very professional.

We had a good few beers and played pool on their Lush and unusual purple coloured table.
