Telephone Pub

Customer service in Thailand is often not great in busy places. But last night after having sat in Telephone bar, no staff around and no service, we left. Now this may not be typical but it's becoming more common that even regular customers are ignored or not welcomed. Nice food and good ambience but service not great. 2020- Things have definitely improved with new staff and a much more welcoming experience. Well done on the improved service from the newer staff

BEWARE OF SCAMS! Some of the waiters work with local boys and make you pay their drinks by giving you the wrong change. In my case, the guy gave me 200 thb for his drink, I paid with a 500 thb. When i got the money back, he took it including the 200 thb he gave me and gave it back to the waiter saying he gave the wrong money back. Then they charged the bill again on that amount. So I ended up paying his drink and he probably gets the money back from the staff. This is the short version, it was all very obviously calculated. I confronted the staff about their mistake and they made me empty my pockets and wallets several times to see if I have two 100 thb bills, which i obviously ddint and at that point with their habds half in my pockets and bag, it got really weird. They evensaid they have cctv and bla but I ended up just leaving to get out of that situation. I know its a few euros but in the end its about the feeling getting scammed. I think not all of the waiters were really in for it though, cause some made some reassuring comments but didnt change anything in the end. There is loads of other places around, so BETTER AVOID THAT FRAUDULENT PLACE!!!!

Have just spent 2 weeks in Bangkok this place was my regular lovely friendly staff big thanks to Nun,Nom,Pat and Night think I got names right cant name all as 32 staff in total all very professional and respectful .The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed decent prices,good music, as I am not one for eating while drinking cannot comment on the food but it seemed popular with locals and visitors eating. The owner is very nice and you can tell he takes care of all staff interacting with them without interfering. Karaoke was also very good. I highly recommend a visit. I hope to return again later in the year they certainly made my first visit to Thailand enjoyable. Big Thank You To You All.
