Tarntawan Place is a gay-friendly boutique hotel in Bangkok, right off Surawong Road, a two-minute walk from Silom's nightlife.
You'll find Tarntawan Place tucked into a recently redone courtyard, a quiet spot that still puts you right at the edge of Silom's gay scene. No main-street noise here, just a short stroll to the bars and clubs.
They call themselves a business-class place, so expect the basics done well and prices that won't make you wince. Because it's a boutique hotel, you get a more personal vibe than at some sprawling chain, which is often what LGBTQ+ travelers look for. The courtyard itself is a nice touch, a calm space to decompress after a night out or just hang during the day.
Silom has been Bangkok's queer center for ages. It's packed with gay bars, clubs, and restaurants, drawing both visitors and locals. Being here means you're in the thick of that social energy and all the entertainment. For a short trip or a longer one, a gay-friendly hotel in Silom just makes sense—it’s convenient and you're in a neighborhood that's long been home to LGBTQ+ travelers.

A surprisingly quiet place in the middle of the bustle in the surroundings, due to its location 100 meters away from the Surawong street. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Reception, breakfast room and bar are all in one large space at the entrance. The staff is friendly and provide good service, a disturbing sound from the AC was fixed in ten minutes. The rooms and corridors are clean. A drawback is that you can hear everything thst goes on in the corridor through the door so probably you can hear everything you do in the room from the corridor too! The breakfast is simple with a selection of three thai dishes on order and a variety of egg and pork as European dishes, but no pork-free option for my partner who is a Muslim, also we discovered no vegetarian option. There are 7 floors with rooms for one small lift, no swimming pool or gym areas. All in all a fairly priced option for those who just need a place to sleep and use restaurants and entertainment in the surroundings of Surawong, Patpong night market and Silom.

A very nice hotel. The prices are cheap, the rooms are large, and the beds are big. Some say it's a bit old, but it doesn't affect the quality of sleep. It's tucked away in an alley and even has a bathtub.

Our stay in the twin room was delightful! The room was incredibly clean and well-maintained. For 1,170 THB, it was a truly affordable and satisfying experience. I highly recommend it! My friend and I stayed in a twin room. The room was very clean, and the price of 1,170 THB was very reasonable. I recommend it.
