The short version: Strasbourg has no gay hotels. The hotels we list are mainstream properties. Same-sex couples are protected by French anti-discrimination law, and a double room is a double room. What matters is location. The Grande Île puts you within walking distance of Canapé Queer, Golden Gate and La Station. The station area is cheaper and close to Sauna Equateur and Le Complex.
On the Grande Île (old town)
- Hôtel Cour du Corbeau, 6 rue des Couples: an old coaching inn on the same street as Canapé Queer.
- Hôtel Cathédrale, place de la Cathédrale: rooms facing the cathedral.
- Hôtel Suisse, rue de la Râpe, and Hôtel Beaucour, rue des Bouchers: smaller hotels near the cathedral and the Ill.
- Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Île, place Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune, and Hôtel Le Kléber on Place Kléber.
- Le Bouclier d'Or Hotel & Spa and Les Haras, on the Petite France side, close to Golden Gate.
- Hôtel Le Grillon, rue Thiergarten, and voco Strasbourg Centre, rue des Magasins (pool and spa): practical if you arrive by train.
- Hôtel Couvent-du-Franciscain, rue du Faubourg-de-Pierre, north of the old town.
- The People, rue de la Krutenau: a hostel with private rooms and a bar, in the student quarter.
- OKKO Hotels Strasbourg Centre, by the Austerlitz basin.
- ibis Styles Centre République and Hilton Strasbourg, north of the old town towards the Wacken exhibition area.
- hotelF1 Pont de l'Europe, a budget option towards the Rhine, and Parenthèse Alsacienne, a B&B in Schiltigheim just north of the city.

Booking tips
December weekends sell out months ahead because of the Christmas market (27 November to 24 December in 2026). Prices also rise during European Parliament plenary weeks. Kehl, across the Rhine in Germany, is on tram line D and often cheaper. For June's Marche des Visibilités, book early in the old town.
