Gosses du Béton
About the event
Before its premiere in Paris in May 2027, Thibaut Galis reads his play Gosses du Béton, featuring three LGBTIQ+ characters. Paolo, a young man still trapped by family pressure, meets Nathan, a gay escort marked by his childhood with a dependent mother, and Olga, a flamboyant transgender woman and sex worker. Alongside them, he will explore his desire for men, discover queer nights, and form a love triangle with them where each person experiments. But precariousness, demanding clients, substances, homophobia, and transphobia weaken even this chosen family, and Paolo dreams of the sea and escaping this suffocating life. As part of Matières inflammables, three days dedicated to contemporary writing, the reading will be preceded (from 5 p.m.) by a Haunted Café, a sharing moment with authors over an oriental coffee on carpets and cushions, and followed (from 8 p.m.) by Mets sur haut-parleur, which invites seven authors to react to a given word and write a short text for the occasion in the tradition of "spoken word," accompanied by a musician. Finally, the author will DJ to punctuate the evening with music (from 10 p.m.). Free entry!
