Despite its name, Basic Hotel Innsbruck is anything but basic. The hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations and directions. The location is excellent—just two tram stops from Innsbruck Central Station, making it very convenient for travelers arriving by train. The surrounding neighborhood felt safe and pleasant, even when walking around in the evening. A Subway restaurant is located right next door, which is handy for a quick meal, and many attractions, shops, restaurants, and the Old Town are within easy walking distance. In fact, Innsbruck is such a walkable city, and this hotel serves as a perfect base for exploring it.

This is exactly what you expect from the name of the hotel, but in a good way. It is basic, but still quality and the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely view of the nearby mountains from our window too.
