Visitors frequently praise the friendly and professional staff, with some highlighting their helpfulness in resolving issues. However, common complaints include noise disturbances from other guests, a lack of effective ventilation in rooms, and the hotel's location on the edge of a municipality that some advise researching beforehand.

About this place MEININGER Hotel Bruxelles City Center

MEININGER Hotel Bruxelles City Center is a budget hotel-hostel on Quai du Hainaut, on the Molenbeek side of the canal just west of central Brussels. It occupies a converted former brewery building. It is a mainstream, gay-friendly property, not an LGBTQ+ venue. You can book a bed in a dorm or a private room. There is a bar, a guest kitchen and a games room, and the crowd is mostly young travellers and school groups. The Grand-Place is about a 15-minute walk, and the gay bars around Rue du Marché au Charbon are a little closer. The canal-side streets are quiet late at night, so take the usual city care walking back.

Some sort of ventilation in the rooms would be nice. They claim it's there and it probably is. Somewhere, but not here. Staff friendlyness appears consistent over the years based on other "recommendations" on this site. Be advised that the hotel is located on the edge of the Molenbeek municipality. Look it up.

The most beautiful hostel I've ever seen. It's huge. The staff is friendly and professional, but no one speaks Italian. If you're looking for something cheap, cool, high-tech, just minutes from the city center, with plenty of amenities included, this is the place for you. If you're looking for something more intimate, perhaps a single room or another type of hotel is better. Hundreds of people arrived every day, and you could find every culture at the reception or in the kitchen. Beautiful. In my opinion, it's suitable for a group, young people, or people looking to have fun. I'll definitely book another Meininger Hotel on my next trip :)

Close to the train station... Underground parking. A 30-minute walk from the city center

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Until 3 am there was a lot of noise in the hotel, and sleep was almost impossible. I expected more peace and respect for the comfort of the guests.
