If you like authenticity ? you are in the right place. The host was friendly. The rooms are perfect for a few days stay. You have a kettle and a fridge in the room and also a fan. The breakfast is ok the only inconvenient is that it starts at 8am. When you need to take an early train, you need to eat in your room or skip breakfast. You are right next to the city attractions and 30 min walk from the central train station.
No air conditioning, no parking, breakfast not until 8 am.
Five stars for the kindness and welcoming of staff. An older building, but close to city center. Nice breakfast inuded. Would return.
For people who love nostalgia and idyll, this is a perfect hotel. The building and the rooms offer a historical experience, though you do have to look past some overdue maintenance. The beds are fine and the rooms are clean! All in all, a good place to stay a short distance from the center.
Nice hotel, though a bit dated. The bathroom fixtures, in particular, need replacing.
When you book an Erasmus room, you know it's not going to be state-of-the-art! The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just a few meters' walk from the charming old town! For an extra €25, you can get a parking ticket for the parking garage almost next door! I received such a warm welcome, and the lady was incredibly helpful. She even spoke a little German! :) There's no elevator, but that's mentioned in the hotel description. :) My room was on the 3rd floor, and while it was old, it was spotlessly clean! There wasn't a view, as you could only see the roof, but that didn't bother me at all. :) I felt incredibly comfortable in this very old building and in my room, but you definitely have to appreciate old things and a bygone era! I do! :) It was also quiet at night! Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and delicious... there were the best croissants, fresh fruit salad, and this enchanting dining room: I felt a bit like I was in Downton Abbey. 😇 The view of the garden was also incredibly relaxing! The lovely lady was there again this morning, wanting to cook another egg, and was absolutely delightful once more! Should I ever travel to this charming city again, I'll definitely stay there again! I'm thrilled!
