We stayed there for two nights. The hotel is incredibly tastefully decorated and has very nice rooms. The location is perfect. Very quiet, yet only a five-minute walk to the center. The exceptionally attentive and courteous staff deserves special mention. The concierge, in particular, goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay.

Centrally located, the hotel is a bit rambling and confusing, but you gladly accept that, as it's in the historic old town, surrounded by houses dating back to the 15th century, and the hotel itself, at least the front part, is also quite old. You're just a few minutes' walk from the heart of the action. Most of the rooms are in the renovated buildings; they are well-equipped, with a refrigerator and a large TV. And as far as I could see, most rooms have a balcony, at least those facing the back. In the evenings, dinner is served in the center, surrounded by parasols and small trees. The Oliver restaurant is located in front of the hotel guests' balconies. There's also a privacy screen on the balconies themselves. You can sit there and watch the goings-on below without being observed. The food was absolutely excellent; I really enjoyed it. Otherwise, I find the prices there generally very high, especially in the restaurants. But that's easily explained: you can eat very well in Belgium. Three stars because the rooms are simply very rambling and confusing. And five stars, of course, for the location. Don't forget the tourist tax of €4.40 per day, and be sure to register your vehicle with the local authorities beforehand, providing your license plate number, as there are special regulations regarding emissions. The hotel provides information on its website, which is also available in German.

We stayed at this hotel for one night last week to celebrate our anniversary. We were not specifically told that our room had been upgraded, but it felt more spacious than we had expected. We were also touched by the chocolates and other thoughtful treats prepared for our anniversary. The gentleman who checked us in was incredibly friendly—I honestly would have loved to chat with him more if he hadn’t been busy with other guests. The room design is quite minimal. I wouldn’t say it is exceptionally stylish or memorable, but it is comfortable and well-appointed. What really makes this hotel stand out are the beautiful communal spaces. The restaurant creates a lively atmosphere. The gardens are spacious and lovely, and having breakfast outdoors in the garden was a good highlight. The spa is also lovely… when there are only adults around…, it feels peaceful and elegant. Although the hotel is located a little outside the city centre, it offers outstanding value for money. Overall, I found it to be an exceptionally well-balanced hotel and would happily stay here again.

WOW what an amazing hotel! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. We stayed here for our wedding along with many of our guests, and the staff were so wonderful and helpful - it not only made for a great wedding experience, but also relieved a lot of our stress. All our guests were commenting on how great the staff are. The property is gorgeous, the courtyard unbeatable, the restaurant delicious, the rooms incredibly clean and comfortable, and the location very central. I truly believe the pictures online don’t do this hotel justice. We also hosted a reception in their bar area. Working with the event staff was great - their communication was quick and clear, and there were no surprises at any point. They were so helpful in their organization and went above and beyond for a great event and stay. Thank you to everyone at Pillows! I’ll never stay at another hotel in Ghent again

My wife has been talking about returning to your hotel ever since we got back from our vacation. We traveled to 4 countries, 7 cities, and 7 hotels on our last trip, and Pillows Hotel is the one we miss the most. Thank you to you and all your staff, for the delicious food and delightful drinks! 😍😍😍
