Sarajevo Open Centre (SOC)

Sarajevski otvoreni centar (Sarajevo Open Centre, SOC) is the main LGBTI and women's rights organisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, based at Podgaj 14 in central Sarajevo. It publishes the yearly Pink Report on LGBTI rights in the country, takes discrimination cases to court and trains police; its 2026 report counts 296 cadets trained in 2025. It also runs Kvirhana, the queer art and activism festival held in Sarajevo every June. For visitors, SOC is the most reliable source on community events, from queer quiz and literary nights to the festival programme. Updates go out on soc.ba, the community portal lgbti.ba and Instagram (@sarajevskiotvorenicentar). Google lists office hours as Monday to Friday 08:00–16:00, and the phone number is +387 33 551 000.
