About This Event
Smoqua, the Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture, is Rijeka's flagship LGBTQ+ event, organised by the local organisation LORI since 2017. Held over a few days in early October, it brings together panels, performances, exhibitions, film screenings and workshops across venues in the city, closing with the Queer-UP! party at OKC Palach. It is the main gathering point of the year for Rijeka's queer community and the Kvarner region.
