About this place Never Mind

Never Mind occupies a corner location on Nørre Voldgade at the edge of the Latin Quarter, close to Studiestræde and a short walk from the city hall square. It is Copenhagen's most consistently busy mainstream gay bar and the venue that most reliably captures the energy of the city's gay nightlife on a weekend. The crowd skews younger than Centralhjørnet — international students, Copenhagen twenty-somethings, and visitors who want the high-energy gay bar experience rather than the historic neighbourhood local. The music is loud, the cocktails are strong and reasonably priced by Copenhagen standards, and the atmosphere on a Friday or Saturday night builds from a lively early-evening bar into a packed pre-club destination by midnight. Never Mind is effectively the social hub that connects the earlier Studiestræde bar crowd to the later club venues — its position at the edge of the gay neighbourhood and the energy it generates at peak times make it the natural assembly point before the night moves on.

Don’t go to this place. They threw me out because I threw up in the bathrooms?? I was fully conscious and the security didn’t ask me if I was okay. They just told me to leave even though I didn’t bother anyone.l really wierd behavior

Always a good night at Nevermind! Good music and lots of exciting people. Sweet employees! If you speak nicely to them, they will also speak nicely to you. Can highly recommend the place

This is the second time that I am mistreated by security person in this nightclub and I wonder why is it that someone working in a lgtb club can’t be polite to a foreing gay person. He theatend me in danish and as I asked him to please speak English he got super upset and authoritative in a very agressive way. I really hope something can be done. I have heard of many other similar stories.

Absurd place. Abusive doorman, extremely hostile staff. Never experienced anything like it. Stay far away. I thought you had a bar because you wanted to create fun and good experiences for people.

It was around 11 pm on Friday (12/22/2023) and I had already wandered through the city's bars, and decided to visit Never Mind on recommendation. My God, what energy this place has, I loved it, and to top it off I met Rubens Toniato Neto, a São Paulo native from Socorro-SP, who is an incredible person. Since we met, we haven't been separated anymore, I already know most of his friends, he spent Christmas with me, it was really great for me to go to that place, I was very happy.

This place is great. The music is amazing, the vibes are on point, and the staff is so kind and friendly. Live DJ, really cool lighting, and the drinks are great too. Highly reccomended

This has to be one of my worst experiences going out. We went to the bar and when it was our time to enter the security guard asked my friend if he was a drug dealer since he was wearing an emporio armani jacket (!). My friend did not find his "joke" funny and therefore the bouncer got really angry and said he couldn't come in because of that (!). Then he told my friend "if you don't understand my joke you will also beat up the guests inside if they make a joke with you". He was also screaming at my friend the entire time and yelling that he was the boss at the place, which he certainly was not. Overall a very unpleasant experience. The incident happened on September 17th at 3.30 am. I can see that the place, in general has bad reviews so I wouldn't recommend to anyone to go there. I really don't understand how a place like this has been characterized as the "best gay club in copenhagen".

If you go there be just naked or in a t-short cose the will ask you to let your huddy in the garderobe. The lady from the security was very rude and I think she had a terrible day she treated me as terrible

I had a most awful experience trying to get into this place and was spoken to like a child and treated terribly. We were only in Denmark for a weekend and I must say Copenhagen was a wonderful place to visit but this did dampen our experience some what. We arrived here, having to walk quite a way to get to this venue. We had lots of places we could have selected but choose this place. We queued up patiently and when we got to the front of the queue we smiled and were polite to the young man on the door. Instantly he seemed to want to try to prevent me from entering. He said that the clothes I was wearing were too formal and would make people in the club feel uncomfortable, how a blazer and chinos can make people uncomfortable is beyond my imagination, but he made me feel very uncomfortable in the queue in-front of everyone. He asked if I would check it in. I questioned why a blazer would make people uncomfortable and he said some people in there would wear leather and chains etc….like I haven’t seen this in any other gay bar I have been to in my 20 years of going out. I then said I was happy to check my blazer in at which point he said it’s okay to wear it….sudden change of heart for some reason. He then said no photos or phones on the dance floor, handed these little stickers without telling us what we needed to do with them, after a few seconds we put them over our camera on our phones but he then said “actually not tonight” at which point a bouncer came storming over, clearly with the intend on removing us from the queue, but he needn't have wasted his energy as we had already turned away to find somewhere not so discriminatory against clothing. I have to say the biggest disappointment here was that the man questioning my clothing obviously assumed that all gay people dress the same. We don’t, some wear leather etc and that’s perfectly fine but not all of us dress like that and we shouldn’t be made to feel that we have to dress a certain way. As I said I did really like Denmark and on the whole found the Danish people very friendly. I hope that it a Dane ever visits a gay bar in the UK that they will receive a warmer welcome than we did.

Worst experience for a gay bar and in general The drinks were horrible and they even denied us water. We had to buy water for 10 dollars and when we tried to drink it ourselves at the bathroom they actually kicked us out. Worst place we ever been to. Expensive, overpriced and just the most hateful people you will ever met.
