What reviewers say

Visitors praise the campsite for its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and good amenities, including a well-equipped kitchen and spacious pitches. However, several guests were disappointed by the lack of lake views from their pitches, despite advertising, and some found the facilities to be dated and not entirely clean.

About this place Silkeborg Sø Camping & Feriehuse

Silkeborg Sø Camping & Feriehuse is a campsite with holiday cottages on Århusvej, on the eastern edge of Silkeborg in central Jutland. It is a mainstream family campsite listed here as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. The Silkeborg lakes, forests and canoe routes are the main reason people stay here. It rates 4.2 from about 450 Google reviews. Silkeborg town centre and the Museum Jorn are a short trip away, and Aarhus, with Jutland's only real gay nightlife, is around 40 minutes by car or train. Book cabins early for summer school holidays.

Beautiful, natural campsite right on the water with a large jetty. Very friendly owner, speaks excellent German. Unfortunately, we forgot to transfer the remaining balance of our booking ourselves. We were able to access the campsite on our arrival day without any extra charge, and even two hours before the scheduled arrival time. This is sadly almost impossible in Germany these days. The barrier comes down and opens at 3 pm sharp. That's our experience. We're looking forward to a relaxing week here at Skanderborg so Camping.

The only comfort in these cabins is hot water. The bathroom and bedroom are very small. The bed is miserable, we both woke up with back pain. The sofa is broken, you can feel the frame in front and behind when you sit in it. These cabins need renovation.

The most unsympathetic person I have ever met must be Henning. I booked a place for 3 months and stated the size of the car and agreed with his employees that I would have to pay 4 weeks in advance. When I arrived I was told that I had not booked a place but I could stay for 3 weeks. And not 3 months as agreed
