This is by far the best hostel I found in Tbilisi. It's spacious, clean, air conditioned and located just blocks from a highly convenient Marjanishvili Metro Station. Plus there's a lot of good restaurants nearby and some interesting things within walking distance. If you've never searched for a good hostel in Tbilisi let me tell you, it's a horror show. Just stay here.

I think this might be the best hostel in the capital. it is over-priced, and probably over-rated, but the air conditioning works well. I would have liked to visit the restaurants in back, but I wasn't keen on getting lung cancer from all of the smoke. With the amount of people that are coming thru, and the meager bathroom facilities, lower the price.

I was disappointed with my stay at Fabrika. Based on its reputation, I expected a much better experience. The staff were one of the biggest letdowns. They often seemed annoyed by questions or requests rather than welcoming or helpful. When the water outage happened, they didn't proactively inform guests or offer any alternatives or updates. When I asked about compensation for the disruption, I was simply told to email them, and the response felt dismissive. The beds were reasonably comfortable, but there were no privacy curtains, and the dorms stayed quite warm throughout our stay. The biggest issue, however, was the facilities. The bathrooms and showers felt more like those in a high school than in a modern hostel. During our last two days, the water stopped working completely. With the first-floor bathrooms already closed for renovations, the entire hostel had to rely on the second-floor facilities. Without running water, the toilets couldn't be flushed, the showers couldn't be used, and the smell became unbearable. It turned what was already an average bathroom situation into a genuinely unpleasant environment. Throughout all of this, the staff seemed surprisingly unconcerned. One other thing worth mentioning is that, despite its reputation, I didn't find Fabrika to be a social hostel. The outdoor courtyard is a nice space, but there were no hostel-organized events or activities to help travellers meet each other. Most of the people there seemed to be digital nomads working on their laptops during the day. If you're looking for an easy place to meet other backpackers, this wasn't my experience. Overall, I don't regret visiting the Fabrika complex itself, but I wouldn't stay in the hostel again. There are better hostels in Tbilisi that offer friendlier service, better facilities, and a more enjoyable atmosphere.
